The MFRFP's Water Pump
The Multi Functional Rural
Fuel Platform is fitted with a water pump, so that water can be pumped into the
village by the MFRFP and distributed to the people living in the rural
community.
The MFRFP's water pump is a
critical help for bringing water into villages and alleviating the back breaking
work of carrying water from well to homes.
Why Water Pumps?
Over 1.1
billion people worldwide or 20% of the world population must walk more than one
kilometer to find water.
This means
that many hours are spent, mainly by women, carrying water from rivers and
village wells.
